When you click on the dosing calculator for a pediatric patient that has a weight recorded in their chart, the dosing calculator is calculating higher.
Recommended Actions
Communicate to your providers that they should cease use of the dosage calculator for the following medications; Albuterol Sulfate, Amoxicillin, Amoxicillin-Pot Clavulanate, Azithromycin, Carbinoxamine-pseudoephedrine, Cefdinir, Cefprozil, Cephalexin, Cetirizine HCL, Clarithromycin, Erythromycin-Sulfisoxazole, Ibuprofen, Loratadine, Penicillin V Potassium, Sodium Fluoride, Sulfamethoxazole-Trimethoprim until a fix is provided. We have only seen this activity with ibuprofen, but we are flagging this list of medications in an abundance of caution.
